A stunning early 1900’s American grocery store seed counter manufactured by the Sherer Gillet company.
Made from oak the front has twelve detachable display windows that would have held the seed or grain samples, so that customers could select what type they wanted. On the reverse are nine deep drawers with iron handles with the word ‘Sherer’ imprinted on the base of each handle. A storage cupboard with a single door sits to the left of the drawers.
A handsome piece that would make a unique kitchen island or perfect as a shop display piece.
