General information

All our items are either vintage or antique and have had a previous life, therefore items will always have knocks, scratches, dents and other imperfections, which is often part of their charm and history.  We always try to show the amount of wear on each piece as best we can in both our photography and description but if you would like to see more photographs of a certain item, then please contact us and we will be happy to email some over to you.

When buying vintage pieces please be aware that we cannot guarantee the longevity of any of our items, some are hundreds of years old and may last for another few hundred years but there is no certainty.

Antiques are green

We are proud that the products we sell are sustainable, the importance of being green has significantly increased and thankfully consumers have become more aware of sustainability and their carbon foot print.  We always try to buy and use re-cycleable packaging and use an electric courier company in and around London, which is not only eco-friendly but generally cheaper too!

UK Delivery 

Delivery costs within the immediate London area are specified on our website and your purchase will usually be delivered by our eco-friendly electric courier “Green Transit”.

Outside of the London area, please input your postcode one the “check-out” page and we will revert asap with a delivery cost.

All of costs are based on a doorstep delivery to a ground floor home – if you require further service and/or to an upstairs location, please let us know so that we can quote accordingly.

We tend to utilise regular known courier companies who deliver on specific days in different parts of the UK. In this respect, we cannot always confirm an exact delivery date at the time of purchase however this is normally within 14 days. If you require a specific delivery date, this could involve a special journey at extra cost.

Although we endeavour to deliver within the given time frame, we cannot be held responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, traffic etc.

The courier will normally contact you in advance to notify a delivery day and time. When you have agreed this with him, it is your responsibility to be available to accept the item. If there is nobody available at the agreed time, then a further delivery cost could be charged.

Our delivery costs are most competitive however if you prefer to collect or arrange your own courier, please feel free to do so.

Our couriers only operate in mainland Britain. For Northern Ireland, and offshore islands, please contact us for quotation.  We do not deliver outside of these areas.

Returns & Payment

Returns

We are confident that you will be happy with your purchase however in the unlikely event of your dissatisfaction or any carriage damage, please notify us immediately within 24 hours so that we can endeavour to remedy the situation. In the case of damage, please provide detailed photographs.

Returns may be made within 14 days in the original packaging and we will provide a full refund less courier costs of both delivery and return costs.

Returns must be set by tracked postage or courier with the appropriate insurance.

Please always notify us in advance of returning an item.

We only accept returns from the original named purchaser.

Payment

Purchases may be made by bank transfer or by credit or debit card.

Please note that items are only taken off sale once payment has been received.
