A stunning oak monastery chair dating to around 1850 and believed to have come from Le Couvent les sur des St.Marie, Brittany.

A tall slat back with scalloped edge, flat board seat and beautiful scroll arms on a box stretcher.   A simple design with mortise and tenon joints and wear in all the right places, this chair is sure to add character to any room.

We aim to give a good representation of the condition of our furniture in both our images and description. Vintage items have all had a previous life and in most cases the condition will show signs of age  with wear and tear including scuffs and scratches.
